Tonight's programme is given over to a concert by jazz-rock guitar hero Mike Stern. Stern studied under Pat Metheny and is a veteran of Blood, Sweat and Tears, but it was as a member of Miles Davis's comeback band in the early eighties that he gained popular recognition. Tonight's show includes an interview with Stern and features his latest band: Bob Franceschini on tenor sax, Terri Lyne Carrington on drums, and the bass virtuoso Chris Minh Doky.
