A star-studded cast, some spectacular African locations and a strong story based on Romain Gary 's award-winning novel all combine in this powerful and colourful film directed by John Huston and produced by Darryl F. Zanuck.
Trevor Howard stars as a fanatical idealist bent on stopping the wholesale slaughter of Africa's elephants. Errol Flynn, in his last Hollywood film, gives one of the film's best performances and in a guest appearance Orson Welles adds a hilarious touch of comedy.
