The Money Programme

on BBC Two England

The New Unemployed
With one million workers on short time or out of work what prospects are there for the new unemployed - the office workers, the middle managers and executives - who are out of work or whose jobs are threatened? Since the early 1970s, management has become more accustomed to ' hiring and firing ' their executives. The Money Programme looks at how people are coping in this new climate.
