Review: Tale of Beatrix Potter

on BBC Two England

Introduced by James Mossman

Last night saw the Royal Premiere of 'The Tales of Beatrix Potter,' an all-ballet adaptation of five of her best-known animal stories choreographed by Sir Frederick Ashton and danced by members of the Royal Ballet.

Review looks at the film and traces the story of the elusive woman who created Peter Rabbit and his set (including the Black Berkshire Pig, above) and is still probably read more than any other children's writer
With Margaret Lane, John Lanchbery and Sir Frederick Ashton
