Newsround Africa

on BBC Two England

A week of special programmes about Africa. Today: Faces of Africa
There are over 400 million people in Africa, almost half of them children. Most Africans live in small farming communities and are among the poorest people on earth.
Now big changes are happening there. John Craven and Lucy Mathen set out with the Newsround team to meet some of Africa's people and find out about their lives and problems as the continent moves into the 1980s.
