This week's theme: Love Correggio (c 1489-1534) Leda and the Swan at the Dahlem Museum, Berlin
Leda is in love with a swan, the god Jupiter in disguise. The naked Leda sits with the swan tenderly between her thighs, apparently most welcome.
One of the previous owners, in a fit of religious fervour, slashed the canvas to pieces. Four restorers managed to put ft together again. Written and narrated by DAVID PIPER
