The 1989 writing debut of actor Stuart Hepburn from the Traverse Theatre. Far from his rural homeland, Callum (Forbes Masson) is offered shelter by the streetwise Spud Valentine (Stuart McQuarrie ). High above the urban sprawl, they appear on the brink of a lasting friendship. As the night wears on, however, it emerges that Spud's confidence is bluff and his success is all part of a fantasy.
