The work of the American poet Robert Creeley has been widely praised by critics on both sides of the Atlantic. Its emphasis on the relationship between the poet's breath and the length of its lines, and its extreme simplicity of diction, are characteristics which have been frequently noted, imitated, and admired.
In tonight's conversation with GEORGE MACBETH Mr Creeley reads from his work of the past decade, including a number of recent unpublished poems,
