Chris de Souza presents the second in a series of concerts from St George's Bristol featuring wind ensembles. Beethoven's music for wind was composed mostly in the early part of his career, when he still lived in Bonn. The Wind Octet in Eflat was subsequently made available as a string quintet, but the Endymion Ensemble play it here in its original form, coupled with Hanns Eisler 's Divertimento for wind quintet.
