At 14, Winifred Foley , a miner's daughter, was forced to leave her beloved Forest of Dean and go into service. It was the depression years of the 20s when the miners were fighting for their lives. In this dramatised documentary winiFRED FOLEY recalls her deep love for the forest, and the poverty and hunger that its beauty could hide.
