Network: They're Pulling Down Memory Lane

on BBC Two England

A series of programmes made for audiences in the BBC regions and now seen for the first time throughout the United Kingdom. Tonight from BBC North: They're Pulling Down Memory Lane
Who was Miss Cleethorpes 1937? Why was Hope Street, Grimsby, so remarkable? And who rode a bicycle across the Humber in 1934? In the 20s and 30s, Cleethorpes and Grimsby had a band of enthusiastic moviemen busily recording the history of their towns... the streets and markets, the fishing industry and sport, the silly summer season.
This programme is a compilation of rare films of everyday life from private Lincolnshire collections.
