Tonight the European Broadcasting Union introduces a new competi. ion for dancers under the age of 22. Maria Almeida and Errol Pickford from the Royal
Ballet represent the United Kingdom. They dance in competition with dancers from a dozen other countries. This major new television event, which inaugurates
Dance International, a season of dance programmes on BBC2, is presented by Humphrey Burton and Annette Page. The chairman of the jury is Peter Schaufuss , Director of the London Festival Ballet.
