Period drama directed by David Lean. Adela Quested arrives in India to visit Chandrapore city magistrate Ronny Heaslop , a prospective bridegroom. Through liberal schoolteacher Richard Fielding , she and her companion Mrs Moore are introduced to Dr Aziz, a Muslim surgeon.
Anxious to please the two western women, Aziz organises a trip to the famous Marabar Caves. But when Adela and Aziz leave Mrs Moore to explore, events take a tragic turn. Review page 47.
