Newsround Africa

on BBC Two England

with John Craven and Lucy Mathen
A week of special pro-i grammes about Africa.
Today: Africa's Tribes
There are over 1,000 tribes in Africa. Some, like the Masai in East Africa, are nomads who still keep to their traditional ways. Others, though, have moved into the towns and cities to settle, and claimed their right to say how Africa's young nations should be ruled. In some countries this has led to bitter conflicts between the tribes. John and Lucy see what part these tribes play in modern Africa.
