Introduced by Robert Walker from Brinkwells in West Sussex where, in 1919, Sir Edward Elgar wrote this most popular of cello concertos. The performance was recorded at the Harrogate Centre as part of the 1987 Harrogate International Festival.
The programme also includes Elgar's Romance for cello and orchestra, Op 62.
