Colombian Roots
Colombia is a complex country where Spanish, African and Indian races have blended to form a new culture. It has produced unique forms of music and dance, as* attractive as any in Latin America and much less well-known than those of Brazil or Argentina. The roots of this new culture are explored with the help of Manuel Zapata Olivella, an anthropologist whose own ancestry includes the three races of Colombia.
