Taking Liberties

on BBC Two England

A Convenient Way to Die Sixteen-year-old
Mark Rannigan joined the merchant navy to learn a trade. His ship, which sailed under a flag of convenience, sank with all hands lost. His parents believe if the ship had been registered in Britain their son might still be alive. As the programme shows, Mark's story is not an isolated case.
