The two great untapped resources of Liverpool are being left to rot - a magnificent stock of over 2,000 listed buildings constantly needing attention and the 20 per cent of its workforce wanting both work and good training. Britain is short of 140,000 skilled craftsmen. In
Germany they are investing in the necessary craft skills but not here. Liverpool artist James Schorah argues for action now to halt the loss of this city's architectural heritage and in the process train the next generation of craftsmen.
