This week: Caulis, Bacon and a Slice of Bread
The caulis come from Devon. In winter WILLIAM TUCKER 'S farm is one of the few places in Britain where they can be grown. He can pick, pack and distribute his produce to many parts of Britain within 24 hours - at a price.
The bacon comes from ALAN JACKSON , the chirpy Yorkshire-man from Cleveland Hills who takes 200 pigs to market every week. He started 25 years ago on an allotment.
And the slice of bread - well 50 per cent of that comes from America.
The Cauli, the Bacon, and the Slice of Bread, each have their own production problems. In their different ways they've all been affected by the Common Market. Jeremy James and Nick Ross investigate.
