Television Doctor: The English Disease

on BBC Two England

Chronic Bronchitis is so common in this country that it is called 'The English Disease.' Many people think of it just as a bad 'smoker's cough'; but in fact it is a serious condition affecting the lung, and is responsible for one in every twenty deaths.
In tonight's programme a consultant physician, a general practitioner, and a pathologist tell you about bronchitis, how to avoid getting it, and some of the things that doctors can do to help you if you suffer from it.
