The Finals
The second of two concerts televised live from Leeds Town Hall in which the six finalists compete for one of the most important awards in the world of music.
Each finalist plays a complete concerto with orchestra. Last night the first three played; tonight the last three. BBC2 returns to Leeds at 10.45 for the announcement of the winners. The Jury, presided over by Lord Boyle of Handsworth, includes such famous personalities as Artur Balsam , Louis Kentner ,
Nikita Magaloff , Phyllis Sellick , Rosalyn Tureck and the very first winner (in 1963), Michael Roll. BBC commentators
