Massacre in Luxor

on BBC Two England

Five years ago, the temple of Queen Hatshepsut in Luxor was the scene of the brutal murder of 58 tourists. Egyptian authorities swiftly drew a veil over the incident, blaming a local Islamic gang who died after a police chase near to the scene. Now Correspondent's Phil Day accompanies friends and relatives of the victims from Britain, Switzerland and Japan to Egypt on a quest to find out who ordered the attack and why. Was Luxor a chilling precursor of more recent terrorist atrocities committed in New York and Bali?
