The Story of America's Special
Agents
Written by Travis Ingham
Produced by William N. Robson
Prepared and recorded by the New
York Office of the BBC
This is the third feature programme from New York this year. Its author, Travis Ingham , will be remembered for his ' Crosstown New York', which was produced by William N. Robson and heard in Britain earlier this year. As in the case of No Help Wanted, all the actors in G-men Against Crime have been drawn from the radio division Of the Federal Theatre Project of the W.P.A.
Ingham and Robson ihave had the full assistance of the Federal Board of Investigation in preparing this programme. This Board is to America very much as Scotland Yard is to this country.
In this evening's programme you will hear how the great war of authority against social outlawry is being waged in the States.
An article on the work of the G-men, specially written for the RADIO TIMES by J. Edgar Hoover , Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, U.S. Department of Justice, will be found on page 10
