An African odyssey in three parts.
^Footprints in the Valley.
The earth's crust blisters, cracks, and splits. A valley so vast as to be visible from space is creating a variety of new African landscapes -
Plains, massive cliffs, forests and smouldering volcanoes. Each brims with its own special wealth of species - mountain gorillas, black serval cats and colobus monkeys. One animal managed to live in nearly all the new landscapes, adopting an upright posture making movement easier and leaving forelimbs free.
Man was born here in the Great Rift of Africa.
