This special Omnibus presents an exclusive insight into the most famous ballet company in the world. Omnibus cameras were allowed unprecedented access to company rehearsals in Moscow, and the stars of tomorrow appear in sequences shot at the famous Moscow Choreographic
Institute, the Bolshoi Ballet School. At the centre of this film are two legends of the ballet world. The Bolshoi's Artistic Director and Chief Choreographer
Yuri Grigorovich appears for the first time in an interview for British television; and Galina Ulanova talks about her distinguished career as the most feted dancer in Soviet ballet. Past and recent stars of the Bolshoi, including the great names of Messerer, Plisetskaya, Vassiliev,
Maximova and Lavrovsky add their own reminiscences. Also featured are members of the present company, including
