A season of French films of the 70s, showing the French as they see themselves, begins tonight with a story of holiday flirtations - and a strange obsession.
Eric Rohmer 's award-winning film is made in the form of a diary, covering the fortnight's holiday that 35-year-old Jerome spends in a village near Annecy. There he meets an old friend who introduces him to two attractive teenagers, Laura and Claire.
