Crime drama starring Gene Hackman. Harry Caul is a professional eavesdropper, a wire-tapper and industrial spy for hire. He is also an intensely neurotic man, obsessed by his work and his own privacy. Following a particularly difficult job in San Francisco, he believes a young couple are about to be murdered, gradually becoming embroiled in a mystery even more complex and dangerous than he anticipates.
