Terry Waite Takes a Different View

on BBC Two England

Terry Waite 's home territory is the north west, which has bred and attracted many people with strong, provocative ideas.
In the last programme in the series he meets Frankie Vaughan.
Frankie Vaughan was named Frank Ephraim Ableson when he was born into a Jewish family in Liverpool. Now he says, 'the Frankie Vaughan who walks on to the stage is somebody else. He knows he has to strut and look attractive. He knows he has to be cheeky, to cajole and to love. That helps me to get over my problems.' Director ALF BATES
Producer GERALD HARRISON
