Turkestan, the 1920s. With the country torn between warring factions, a young mountain trapper, Mirzo, takes on the daunting task of guiding Sultan Nazar across rugged mountain passes to the Red Army stronghold at Dushanbe. At their heels are rebel brigands led by a bewitching she-devil.
Ali Khamrayev's frontier adventure, stunningly photographed by Yuri Klimenko, has all the breath-taking derring-do of the classic Hollywood western.
