Pursuing his comparisons between language and music, Leonard Bernstein digs beneath the surface to uncover the 'deep structure'. The point is made effectively and humorously by the performance of a 'prose' version of part of Mozart's Symphony No 40, specially written by Bernstein and performed by the Boston Symphony Orchestra.
