Professional Championship Eight players have now survived the opening rounds of the championship, and in tonight's two quarter-finals the seeding would indicate ERIC BRISTOW versus STEVE BRENNAN , who beat the world champion in the first round in 1982; and a repeat contest of the finalists in the 1983 British professional championship - JOCKY WILSON against DAVE WHITCOMBE. It's the best of seven sets, five legs per set.
