The second of tonight's films from New
Zealand, by director Vincent Ward , is set on a remote farm where a family struggles to make a living from the rugged and unyielding soil. One day the father is killed and into the family's life comes a mysterious stranger. He starts a relationship with the mother but for the sexually maturing daughter he is a predator and she must get rid of him.
