Jackanory: Stories of Mary Plain: In Which We Get to Know the Bears

on BBC One London

by Gwynedd Rae
with Richard Briers
Mary Plain is a small but energetic bear from Berne in Switzerland. Her family are real bears, the kind that can be seen in zoos, but Mary herself is rather extraordinary and unusual even for a bear. In these stories she has a series of strange adventures and becomes famous, but not until her curiosity has led her into the oddest situations.
