Cathedrals
With Richard Baker.
3: Christ Church, Oxford. Henry VIII laid the foundation of Christ Church by merging King's College with the see of Osney, forming the diocese of Oxford. The neighbouring Norman church of St Frideswide became both the college chapel and the cathedral of Oxford. Christ Church has had an associated choir school for many years, and it provides choristers for other Oxford colleges as well as its own choir, which has a distinguished line of choristers, as well as organists and Masters of the Music.
