The film version of the hit stage musical, with its famous song ' The impossible dream'. Cast into the infamous dungeons of the Spanish Inquisition, author Miguel de Cervantes finds that his life is in danger, not simply from the torturers but from his fellow prisoners. In a desperate attempt to gain time he acts out his irreverent book, the stirring adventures of Don Quixote de la Mancha, which led to his arrest.
