London Jazz Festival
Jez Nelson is at the Pizza Express in Soho with a three-and-a-half-hour programme of previews, interviews and features to celebrate the launch of the festival.
Performing live are a selection of artists who reflect the diverse nature of the festival, including rising UK saxophonist Chris Bowden and bebop singer
Sheila Jordan , plus a full-length set from Parisian saxophonist Julien Lourau. Stacey Kent and Claire Martin discuss the festival programme and Kevin Le Gendre presents a feature on the influence of global music on jazz. Plus landmark recordings from the ten-year history of the festival chosen by writer and critic John Fordham.
