The Hang-glider Man
For centuries men dreamed of flying like birds - now they can; and do: and sometimes kill themselves in the process. Hang-gliding is one of the fastest-growing sports in the world and one which feeds on some of man's oldest dreams. Mike Harker is one of the professionals for whom hang-gliding has become a way of life. In this very personal film he speaks of its excitements, its dangers and his passion for it. We see him making breath-taking descents from Mount Fuji in Japan, from mountains in Italy and from cliff-tops in Hawaii.
