Michael Lang was the organiser of the three-day Woodstock rock festival which became one of the defining cultural events of the sixties. This is the story of his battle with local politician Ray Meier when, 30 years on, Lang decided to create Woodstock 1999 on an unused airbase in Rome, upstate New York.
