Documentary chronicling the personal and professional relationship which has blossomed between American country singer Kathy Mattea and Scottish folk singer-songwriter Dougie MacLean. Mattea fell in love with MacLean's innovative music, which is rooted in ancient Scots culture, and when MacLean heard Mattea's Midwestern tones, the duo began an unusual musical exchange.
