'HOW WILD IS THE WEST?'

on National Programme Daventry

View in Radio Times

A talk by Cedric Belfrage
This is the first of two talks in which the speaker is going to discuss aspects of America in which he is particularly interested. Today he is going to tell listeners about the ' cow country ' of Texas, as it is now and as once it was.
Cedric Belfrage has been living in Hollywood for some years writing books. He was at one time film and dramatic critic of The Daily Express, and was a familiar voice on the air when he gave his regular BBC film talks. He is the author of a number of books of travel, a new one of which, dealing with the Negroes in the Southern States of America, is to be published shortly.
