Serious Cause for Concern
A respected 55-year-old man is arrested and charged with possession of heroin with intent to supply. He has a long history of opposition to the use of hard drugs and has been critical of the local police methods. His defence is that heroin was planted on him by the arresting officers, as part of a conspiracy to attack and destroy the association he leads. He is black. This programme, made with the National
Black Caucus, expresses concern about police conduct under the central government policing policy for multi-ethnic areas. Producer Sam Berrisford
