Great Short Stories

on BBC Two England

Grace by JAMES JOYCE
Mr Kernan 's decline was mitigated by the fact that some of those friends who had known him at his highest point of success still esteemed him as a character.
Grace, adapted for television from a short story in Joyce's Dub-liners, is the second of a series of films, originally shown on Full House and 2nd House, in which eminent writers and directors were invited to dramatise short stories by the Irish author and by Chekhov.
