A weekly programme which focuses on people and the situations which shape their lives
Reporters: Jim Douglas Henry, Jeremy James, Jeanne La Chard, Gillian Strickland, Desmond Wilcox, Harold Williamson
This week: The Squatters - 2
Men and women prepared to take things into their own hands in order to get to grips with the increasing problem of the homeless. They make headlines for newspapers, noisy footage for news bulletins, and headaches for local authorities and police forces. They don't care. It's what they set out to do. They believe and hope that their activities will mushroom all over the country and they won't stop until they're satisfied that enough is being done for the homeless.
But is their way the right way?
Last week's Man Alive saw how they operate, who they're doing it for, and who it is they're fighting. This week the programme asks: can they hope to achieve success this way?
