A Programme of Irish Music and Speech
(From Northern Ireland)
Lynn Doyle and Mat Mulcaghey are two names that breathe the very spirit of Ireland. It is therefore fitting that these two should play the leading parts in this Irish miscellany to honour St. Patrick's Day. Lynn Doyle is well known for his literary works and his previous broadcasts ; Mat Mulcaghey, the Ould Besom man from Co. Tyrone, needs no introduction to Irish listeners. Irish music is represented, among other things, by compositions of Herbert Hughes , and by an arrangement for full orchestra of an Irish jig.
