The second of three films about
Camphill, a movement that has challenged conventional mental health care throughout the world. Botton is My Home. Botton village in Yorkshire, founded in 1955, was the first of over 50 such Camphill village communities for adults who are mentally handicapped. John, Michael and Alister were first filmed at Botton over 20 years ago by producer Jonathan Stedall. In this new film he takes up their stories and the story of Botton itself. He finds that another former resident, Shirley, has left the community and is now living alone in a council flat in Scarborough.
