Spy thriller based on the true story of a double agent, starring Michael Maloney
Welshman Arthur George
Owens, a travelling salesman of electrical goods, started his life of intrigue in 1937 by working for British intelligence. By the time the Second World War broke out he had become the first controlled double'agent.
After much research, producer and writer Gareth Rowlands discovered some German intelligence archives which included 750 decoded messages passed on by Owens. "Going through them was just like sifting through a piece of history, "says Rowlands.
