Second of three programmes charting the lives of big cats over a six-week period in Kenya's Masai Mara game reserve.
With the reserve enduring a drought, two prides of lions experience contrasting fortunes. The Marsh pride are suffering an unexpected fast and the starving cubs face a perilous time.
To the north, the Big pride weathers the drought far better. To avoid conflict with the Masai tribesmen and their herds, they hunt at night and keep a wary eye on marauding hyenas. Narrated by Simon King.
