Fields, Slough
Net so many years ago Slough was a comparatively small town, chiefly known by those who lived or were in barracks at Windsor, or at school at Eton College. But it has changed and grown with the years, and industry has made it the largest town in Buckinghamshire.
To celebrate its promotion to a Borough (it was granted a Charter of Incorporation quite recently), the Town Council has arranged four days' festivities, including a first-rate Variety entertainment in the Town Hall.
This programme is an excerpt from the same. The programme will he presented, and the acts introduced, by Councillor J. Costello.
