Talk by Maurice Freedmaa
Lecturer in Anthropology in the London School of Economics and Political Science
Mr. Freedman describes the wedding in Singapore of his Chinese friend Li-bin which, in spite of Li-bin's attempt to be modern, showed the sturdy survival of many traditional customs. The speaker has spent some time in Singapore studying family and marriage among Overseas Chinese.
