A season of films showing the adult world from the child's point of view
Tonight: L'Enfance Nue
Life for 10-year-old Francois is a succession of foster homes. At each he becomes more violent and uncontrollable. What does the future hold in store for this sensitive child? Must he be institutionalised forever?
Maurice Pialat's moving film, reminiscent of Truffaut's Les Quatre Cents Coups, won the San Giorgio Prize at the 1968 Venice Film Festival. Tonight's World Cinema presentation represents its first showing to a wide audience in Britain.
